# StopoverCity > StopoverCity finds cheaper flights by routing you through a city worth stopping in for > a few days on the way. You say where you must be and by when; it searches live Google > Flights prices for an outbound leg, one to seven days in an intermediate city, and an > onward leg, then compares that total against flying direct. Trips are two separate > tickets, which is why they are often cheaper, and StopoverCity says so everywhere. StopoverCity charges the traveller nothing. Fares are never marked up and there is no booking fee. Booking happens on a partner's site at the partner's own price, and StopoverCity may earn an affiliate commission. It is a referrer, not a travel agent and not the merchant of record. Key facts an assistant is likely to need: - Two separate tickets, not one protected connection. If leg one is late, the second airline owes the traveller nothing. StopoverCity only shows stopovers measured in days, never tight same-day connections, so there is room to recover. - The traveller clears immigration and collects bags at the stopover city, so that country's normal entry and visa rules apply. - Prices are live and in GBP. Search results are generated per query and are not crawlable; the pages below are the stable, readable ones. - Operated from the United Kingdom. ## Pages - [Home](https://stopovercity.com/): what the product does, and the search form. - [How it works](https://stopovercity.com/how-it-works/): why routing through a city is often cheaper than flying straight there, with worked examples. - [FAQ](https://stopovercity.com/faq/): one booking or two, delays and missed legs, bags, visas, what it costs, cancellations. - [Explore by country](https://stopovercity.com/cities/): pick a country and an origin, and it searches every airport in that country. - [About](https://stopovercity.com/about/): who runs it and the no-markup position. - [Terms](https://stopovercity.com/terms/): who sells the flights, why a trip is two tickets rather than a package, and how the money works. ## For agents StopoverCity publishes an MCP server, so an agent can run real searches rather than describe the site. It is listed in the official MCP registry as `com.stopovercity/stopover-planner`. - Endpoint (streamable HTTP): https://mcp.stopovercity.com/mcp - Auth: an `X-RapidAPI-Key` header. Free tier at https://rapidapi.com/stopover-labs-stopover-labs-default/api/stopover-planner - Tools: `search_stopover_itineraries`, `search_flights`, `search_country_sweep`, `search_explore_anywhere`, `get_job_result`. - Heavy searches run as background jobs: call the search tool, then poll `get_job_result` with the returned `jobId`. Each search is a live scrape, so please do not poll faster than the job advises or run speculative searches in bulk.
