Terms
Terms of Service
Last updated 15 July 2026. These terms apply whenever you use StopoverCity โ searching is free, and by booking through us you agree to them. They're short on purpose; please actually read them.
1.Who we are โ and who we are not
StopoverCity is a flight comparison and facilitation service. We find itineraries, show you live prices, and provide the checkout where your tickets are bought. We do not act as agent for you or for any airline, and we do not procure flight accommodation on your behalf.
Your flights are sold to you by Duffel Limited (as merchant of record, acting as agent of the airlines) or by the airline directly. Your contract for each flight is with that airline (via Duffel) โ never with StopoverCity. StopoverCity is operated from the United Kingdom.
2.Payments โ where your money goes
The fare is charged by and paid to Duffel, who pays the airlines. StopoverCity never receives, holds, or handles your fare โ not even for a moment in transit.
Our service fee โ 10% of the fares, minimum ยฃ3, maximum ยฃ19 โ is a separate, disclosed charge for our search and facilitation service. It's itemised in the price details and shown before you pay. It is the only money StopoverCity makes; we never mark up a fare.
3.Two tickets โ not a package, not ATOL protected
A Stopover City itinerary is two separate one-way tickets, i.e. two separate flight contracts. That split is exactly what makes it cheaper โ and it means the itinerary is not a package and not a Linked Travel Arrangement under the Package Travel Regulations 2018.
Because these are flight-only sales, no ATOL protection applies and none is claimed. And because the tickets are separate: if your first flight is delayed or cancelled and you miss the second, the second airline owes you nothing โ missed connections between your tickets are your responsibility. We say this on every result and at checkout too, because you should know exactly what you're buying. It's also why we only show connections measured in days, not tight same-day dashes.
4.Hotel links
Where we show hotel links, they are advertising links to third-party sites. Booking and payment happen entirely on the partner's site, under their terms. We may earn a commission if you book, and we pass the partner no personal data โ the link is the whole hand-off.
5.Fares move
Prices come from live airline data, but fares move โ sometimes between your search and checkout. We re-price your tickets live before you pay and tell you if anything changed; the price at the moment you pay is the one that counts. Search results, savings estimates, and "from" prices are indicative, not offers.
6.Your responsibilities
Passenger details must match the passport you'll travel with. Visas, entry rules, and travel documents for every stop โ including your stopover city โ are yours to check. Each ticket follows its own airline's fare rules for changes and refunds; changes happen with the airline that issued the ticket.
7.Our liability
We're responsible for running our search and checkout with reasonable skill and care, and our liability to you is capped at the service fee you paid us. We are not liable for the flights themselves (your contract for those is with the airline), for delays, cancellations, or missed connections between your separate tickets, or for anything on third-party sites we link to. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, and nothing here affects your statutory rights or your rights against the airlines (including UK261 compensation, which you claim from the airline).
8.The legal bits
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. We may update these terms โ the date at the top tells you when we last did โ and changes apply from when they're posted. Questions, complaints, anything at all: [email protected].
